No one is going to pretend that the pregnancy journey is blissful from beginning to end. Learning how to enjoy pregnancy is an important step of the “new baby journey”, which is often overlooked.

There is just so much to think about, and it is normal that there is some anxiety.

However, it should very much be enjoyable. Many people experience intense moments of jubilation through their pregnancy.

There are things you can do that will make those moments even more frequent.

In this post, I’ll run through some of the most effective ways that people can enjoy the ride that is bringing a child into this world.

Embrace the Status

Forget what you are normally like. You are in an unusual position when you are carrying a child. So embrace it!

You might normally feel guilty about spending long days on the couch, but when you are pregnant, that is exactly what you should be doing. So lean into it.

You will have a host of people happy to do whatever you want them to do. Want an iced tea brought to you while you sit in the garden?

There will be someone who is all too happy to oblige. In the near future, you won’t have a moment to yourself.

Now, you are the queen of the world. Go with it!

Connect With Others

Going through a pregnancy is a deeply personal journey, but it’s also a good idea to connect with others who are going through the same thing. This will help you to enjoy your pregnancy to the max!

This will help you on multiple levels. For one thing, it’ll help to keep your anxiety to a minimum.

It’s so much better knowing that there are people experiencing the same anxieties as you!

In truth, just about everything is more enjoyable when we share it with others. If you don’t have any friends or family who are pregnant, take a look at local groups – there’ll surely be at least one where you can meet others.

Record the Journey

If there’s one thing to know, it’s that your pregnancy journey will go fast. Much faster than you think it will.

After that, you’ll be in a dizzying blur of parenthood; whole years will go by in the blink of an eye.

You can’t slow down time (though meditation will help!), but you can record the moments so that you have something to look back on in the future. So take photos, as many as you can, and keep a pregnancy journal.

In years to come, you’ll have things that really capture all the excitement of your pregnancy – and you’ll have something to show your child, too!

Spending Time With Loved Ones

Pregnancy is a family affair. You’re the one carrying the child, sure, but everyone will want to be involved in some way or another.

This is a time to really come together as a family. And by that, we don’t just mean with your partner.

Everyone can be involved!

Get together with your siblings, parents, and extended family, and make the whole trip an exciting and enjoyable trip.

If you can do that, then it’ll be one never ending, joyous celebration of all that’s good.
